A total of 93 Jaffna Hindu students, that include 25 for Engineering and 12 for Medicine are selected for Universities,Principal V.Ganesharajah said.
These students will get entrance to the state universities based on the A/L 2008 Z- score cut off released last Thursday.According to the cut off points, from Maths stream a total of 49 students will be selected for various faculties; 25 students for Engineering, 2 for Quantity Surveying, 4 for Computer Science, 1 for Surveying, 8 for Information Technology, 5 for Physical Science and 4 for Mineral Resources and Technolgy.
From Bio science stream, a total of 32 students will be selected for various faculties; 12 for Medicine, 1 for Molecular Biology and Bio Chemistry, 1 for Food Science and Technology, 1 for Food Science and Nutritions, 1 for Veternary Science and Fisheries, 7 for Agriculture Science, 1 for Applied Science, 3 for Bio Science, 1 for Yunani Medicine and Surgery, and 3 for Siddha Medicine.
From Commerce stream two students will be selected; one for Financial Management and Analysis nd the other for Commerce. And ten students will be selected to universities from Arts stream; Arts -2, Mass Media - 4, Stage Arts - 4.
