ஆசிரியர் அருளானந்தசிவம்

யாழ் இந்துவின் கணித ஆசிரியரும் சதுரங்கக் கழகத்தின் பொறுப்பாசிரியருமான அருளானந்தசிவம் அவர்கள் இன்று இறைபதம் அடைந்ததை கேள்வியுற்று ஆழ்ந்த கவலை அடைந்தேன்.

யாழ் இந்துவில் நான் இவரிடம் தான் கல்வி கற்றேன் என்று பெருமையுடன் சுட்டிக்காட்டக் கூடிய ஆசிரியர்களுக்குள் கணித ஆசிரியர் அருளானந்தசிவமும் ஒருவர். இன்று அவர் பற்றிய என் நினைவுகளை உங்களுடன் பகிர்ந்து கொள்ள விரும்புகிறேன்.
இவரை அன்பாக அருளப்பர் என்று தான் நாம் அழைப்போம்.ஆண்டு 9 முதல் 11 வரை அவரிடம் கணித பாடம் கற்ற நாட்களை மறக்க முடியாது. எமது கணித கொப்பியில் எத்தனை புழழன வாங்கிறோம் என்ற போட்டி மனப்பான்மையை எம்மில் ஏற்படுத்தி விரைவாக கணக்கை செய்ய வைத்தவர். ஆம் அவர் கணக்கை வாசித்தவுடன் கணக்கை சரியாக செய்து முதலாவதாக எழுந்து செல்லும் மாணவனுக்கு புழழன வழங்குவதன் மூலம் கணக்கை விரைவாக செய்யப் பழக்கியவர். இது பரீட்சையின் போது நேரப்பிரச்சனை ஏற்படாது தவிர்க்க பெரிதும் உதவியது.

வரைபு வரையும் போது நகைச்சுவையாக கிழவியின்ரஇ குமரியின்ர என்று அவர் குறிப்பிட்டது இன்று வரை என்னால் மட்டுமல்ல என்னுடன் படித்த மற்றவர்களாலும் கூட மறக்க முடியாத ஒன்று. மாணவகளுக்கேற்றாற் போல் இறங்கி வந்து கணிதம் படிப்பித்தவர் என்பதற்கு இது சிறிய உதாரணம்.

அதுமட்டுமல்ல எப்போதுமே ஒரே தொனியில் கதைப்பவர். கோபம் வந்தால் என்ன சாதாரணமாக கதைத்தால் என்ன ஒரே தொனியில் கதைப்பவர். சக ஆசிரியரகள் அவரிடம் சண்டையிட்டால் எதிர்த்து சண்டையிடாமல் அமைதியாக சொல்பவர். தன் ஆதங்கத்தை எம்மிடையே மட்டும் பகிந்து கொள்பவர்.

இதைவிட சதுரங்க கழகத்தின் பொறுப்பாசிரியராக இருந்ததால் அவரோடு மேலும் பழக சந்தர்ப்பம் கிடைத்தது. கழகச் செயற்பாட்டின் போது மாணவ்கள் கருத்துக்கு முன்னுரிமை அளிப்பதுடன் ஒருபோதும் தனது கருத்தை எமக்கு திணிக்காதவர் அவருடைய காலப்பகுதியில் எம் கல்லூரி அணி தொடர்ச்சியாக வெற்றி பெற்று சாதனை படைத்தது பெருமைக்குரிய விடையமாகும்..

இவ்வாறு அவர் குணாதிசையங்களை பட்டியலிட்டு கொண்டே போகலாம். இந்துவின் மைந்தர்களே ஞாபகம் இருந்தால் உங்கள் நினைவையும் பகிர்ந்து கொள்வதுடன் அவரது ஆத்மா சாந்திக்காக பிரார்த்தனை செய்யுங்கள்.

I could hardly believe this news. He was our class teacher and maths guru for many years of my life in JHC and moreover he was my one of the best favourite teachers in the school.

I am really shocked over hearing this news and try to console myself and others whoever depressed about the incidence that it was an inalienable bitter fact in human's life.

I'm unable to believe our maths guru's lost. He was our class teacher from 1995-1999 & we learnt a lot of maths techniques from him. He is one of the reason for me to become to this level. My deepest sympathies for his family. He taught Math from 1989-1992 for our class. He was one of the best teachers I had in my life.

He made enormous contributions to the Chess club. In fact, he made the chess club functional after a break in 1990. I was with him when we went to secure some of the sponsorships for Chess Competitions organized by JHC in early 90s. In those days, we were the only chess club had a coach for chess. In early 90s, we had only 8 wooden chess boards for the club. However, I recently had a chance to read a couple of 'Sathurankan' books published by the JHC chess club and I was really amazed to see how much he contributed to make the chess club a real success. Though, his skills as a player didn't quite match his passion for the chess (precisely chess in JHC), he won lot of chess titles through JHC students.

Asking those who did not do the home work to stand up and come up with a reason and your further instruction to those who did not come up with a reason to tell a lie and sit down. I did not understood much of you at that time... I still remember your explanation to teacher-student conflict .... I remember your advice to those successful students .. " to drag others too on your path " I couldnot believe you left us at this young age. May your soul be merged with Sivam. May your kids reach the heights you dreamt them to be. நேற்று நடந்தது போல நெஞ்சில் பசுமையாக இருக்கிறது கல்லூரி நாட்கள். " அந்த படிமுறையை சேர் பிறகு படிப்பிப்பார்" என்று அவர் முடிக்க, "டேய் அப்ப இந்த சேர் படிப்பிக்க மாட்டாரோ? இன்னொரு சேர் வருவாரோ?" என்று நண்பன் கேட்டான். "டேய் அவர் தன்னைத்தான் சேர் எண்டு சொல்லுறார்" பக்கத்து நண்பன் விளக்கினான். இப்படித்தான் "சேர்" உடன் எங்களது அறிமுகம். கல்லூரியில் இருக்கும் நாள் வரை அவர் நான் என்று சொல்லி நாம் அறிந்ததில்லை, அவர் எங்களுக்கும் சேர் அவருக்கும் சேர் தான். இறுதியாக நான் சேரை கொழும்பில் ஒரு பேருந்தில் சந்தித்தபோது சேர் நானுக்கு மாறியிருந்தார். இப்போது சேர் எங்களுடன் இல்லை. நேற்று வந்த தகவலை நான் நம்பவே இல்லை, ஆனாலும் அதுதான் உண்மை. கோபம் குறைவு, மிகுந்த நிதானம், பேச்சில் இழையோடும் நக்கல், எள்ளல் புன்னகை, விளக்கங்களில் கலந்து சொல்லும் கல்லூரி அரசியல், சிற்றுண்டி சாலையில் தொடங்கி வகுப்புவரை நீளும் சிநேகிதம் இவையெல்லாம் எமக்கு தெரிந்த அருளப்பரின் இயல்புகள். "தம்பி கணக்கை இரண்டு விதமா செய்யலாம். ஒண்டு விளங்கி செய்யுறது மற்றது pattern ஐ பார்த்து செய்யுறது. நீர் எப்பிடி செய்யப்போறிர்?" புரியாமல் விழித்த எங்களுக்கு 10A வகுப்பில் அவர் சொன்ன விளக்கம் " pattern பார்த்து செய்தால் ஒரேமாதிரி வந்தால் செய்யலாம், விளங்கி செய்தால் எப்பிடி வந்தாலும் செய்யலாம்". இந்த விளக்கம் இன்றுவரை நான் மறக்காத உண்மை. கணிதத்தை கணிதமாக கற்பித்த ஆசிரியர். எப்போது கல்லூரி நண்பர்கள் சேர்ந்து கதைத்தாலும் சேர் வகுப்பில் நடந்த ஒரு சம்பவம் பேசப்படும். அது வரைபாக இருக்கட்டும், ஒழுக்காக இருக்கட்ட்டும், இல்லை வென் தொடைக்கும் வெண் தொடைக்குமான வேறுபாடுகள் பற்றிய விளக்கமாக இருக்கட்டும், மறக்க முடியாதவை. யாழ்ப்பாணத்து பெற்றோரின் மனநிலையை நன்கு விளங்கி வைத்திருந்தவர். " அன்ரிமார் மதிலாலை எட்டி கதைக்கேக்க, ஒரு அன்ரி சொல்லுவா என்டமகனுக்கும் D உங்கட மகனுக்கும் D , அப்ப அடுத்த அன்ரி சொல்லுவா உங்கட மகனுக்கு 75 எடுத்து D என்ற மகனுக்கு 99 எடுத்து D "

We don't have words to express our feelings. I can realise your loss. When we lose someone so special unexpectedly, we can't accept it, we can't digest the shocking truth. But it has happened. I pray God to keep him in his place and to give you peace of mind.

The years at Brown road and the memories are still there. I know how your dad helped Sobana to learn maths when she was helpless and made her to achieve a great result. I can remember his smiles and few but memorable chats...
