The 3rd "Battle of Blues," the cricket encounter between the old boys of Jaffna Hindu College and Hartley College played on Sunday was abondoned after 16 overs due to heavy rain in London.

The Battle of Blues organized by the UK OBAs of both Jaffna Hindu and Hartley colleges started on Sunday at 12.45 PM as scheduled and was decided to play 20 over match due to the bad weather condition. The match was played at Manor Park, New Malden.

Jaffna Hindu won the toss and decided to bat first.

Jaffna Hindu scored 96 runs for 6 wickets in 16 overs when the play was stopped due to heavy rain.

Both the teams and the guests had early tea and waited for the rain to cease to commence the game. But unfortunately it rained for more than an hour and pitch and the ground was water logged. The game was abondoned and the match was declared a draw.
