
KASINATHER SIVAPALAN, an old boy of Jaffna Hindu (1954 to 1960), is a Senior Lawyer and a leading human rights activist. He is the current President of Norway Thamil Sangam.
Mr.Sivapalan holds a M.A. in International Relations and an Attorney-at-Law (Sri Lanka 1970).

Mr.Sivapalan was unanimously elected President of the Trincomalee District Bar Association (TDBA) in 2005. In January 2005, he participated as the sole delegate from Sri Lanka at the Wilton Park Conference on Transitional Justice and Rule of Law in post-conflict society held in London with the assistance of the Centre for Transitional Justice based in New York and supported by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the British Government.
He is the current President of Norway Thamil Sangam.
