As the Jaffna Hindu College celebrates the 125th anniversary, the 2014 batch students have renovated the historical entrance of the school at the KKS Road giving it a fresh look. The entrance withholds lots of historical memories. Swami Vivekanandar , Mahadma Ghandi, and Abdul Kalam all entered into the school through this entrance. Moreover, this entrance is the portrayal that comes in to everyone’s mind when Jaffna Hindu College is mentioned.
The past students of 2014 batch have cleaned up the pond and the surroundings and built a path to enter the prayer hall. The entire landscape is beautified with flowering plants and grasses. Also, they have connected the pond area with a proper pipe line.
The students were thankful to each and every one who helped them in this project.
This entrance was preserved though not attended as it is the picture that comes to the mind when one thinks of JHC.Fact remains that this was an eyesore compared to the rest of the premises.
A good job by 2014 A/L batch
